Lídia Baís (Campo Grande MS 1900 - Idem 1985)
Pinter and designer.
Starts his studies in painting with Henrique Bernardelli in 1926. He spends the year next on a trip to Europe, staying longer in Berlin and Paris, where he has contact with Ismael Nery. Back in Brazil, in 1928, he resumed his studies under the guidance of Henrique Bernardelli. In 1950, he founded the Baís Museum in Campo Grande, which is not open to the public, and joins the Third Order of São Francisco de Assis, adopting the name of Sister Trindade. From there, he began to dedicate himself exclusively to religious and philosophical studies. Around 1960, under the fictitious name of Maria Tereza Trindade, the book História de T. Lídia Baís publishes, under the fictitious name of Maria Tereza Trindade. honoring the city of São Paulo, making an exhibition of paintings there. (...) Disoriented at first, handed over to some academic masters without any mastery, her talent was struggling, until one day she was freed And the result is (or is), until now, about six great paintings that you will see.
