Biography

Giovani Caramello

self-taught, the artist began his career with 3D modeling and sought to sculpture as a way to improve the technique, then arousing interest in hyperrealism. Giovani's work addresses issues related to time and its ephemerality, the artist proposes a reflection on the concept that everything one day ceases, be it a feeling, an experience, a phase, and life itself. His works show that the only present moment is the present, and this is also ephemeral, he invites us to think about impermanence. His work participated in the collective “50 years of Realism”, at CCBB, and the artist had an individual at Caixa Cultural de Salvador. In addition, his work is part of the collection of the Rio de Janeiro Museum of Art, and the Casa do Olhar Luiz Sacilotto. “Although young, the artist today establishes himself firmly, given his long and persistent pursuit of excellence, whether in traditional supports such as terracotta and marble, or in the complex chemical processes of silicone and resin, he is excellent in everything he proposes, but in addition to his technique, Giovani has the sensitivity to perceive imminent themes in his poetics.”
