Biography

Francisco Ribeiro (Portugal 1855 - Rio de Janeiro RJ 1900)

Francisco Ribeiro was a painter, draftsman and professor. He studied at the Imperial Academy of Fine Arts (Aiba), in Rio de Janeiro, between 1882 and 1884. In the same year, he left the academy and joined the Grimm group, remaining until 1885. In parallel with his artistic production, he served as a Drawing of figures at the Lyceum of Arts and Crafts of Rio de Janeiro between 1892 and 1896, also dedicated to the technical engineering design.
