Criticism

"It is understood that Dorian Gray, painter and designer facing the composition, have the pictorial vocation for the Brazilian reality, unable to deform it, under the pretext of personal interpretation. Irresistible of Spontiety, constituting an anticline, a collective figure, throbbing and logical, in the personality of the artist (The Creator of Beautiful Things). Haunting and truth".

"National-level artist, Dorian Gray Caldas has a very good quality and efficient painting and a perfectly competitive level with what is produced, and with the advantage of having that aspect of the anchoring in the Genuíno, who many others have already lost sight of by a feeling of internationalization. Dorian Gray uses the resources of the technique in much of self-taught, but for the well-founded time and exercise it exerts an artistic creation referencedly from the place, but in terms of the universal painting of the erudite man".
